The Key-Noology

I attended a The Key-Noology workshop with Patricia O’Reilly of Metamorphus Inc in April 2008.  With my history of extensive training, I haven’t attended a workshop in many years because they tend to be the same information with different words or just the same-old same-old.  This workshop intrigued me and proved as satisfying and worthwhile as I’d expected:  It was a great investment.  It is different, interesting, and valuable in very practical ways. 

Patricia used creative and innovative teaching methods to simplify complex concepts, allowing integration of the concepts and immediate application to discover uses, insights, and concrete value.  There is a critical insight into motivations, functions and behaviors of people that is applicable in any interaction with people: personal, professional, and social.  This toolset allows important reframing of communications, requirements, and management to achieve maximized potential and realistic achievement results.   
           
Some key elements that were particularly valuable for me were:

• Learning how and what information certain people will delete, and why, to correct problems in defining requirements and goals, and to improve training practices.
• How to ‘land’ the potential of each type of employee so that goals are concrete and achieved.
• Identifying the requirements of each type of employee’s ‘process’ to ensure that they have support in their process that produces success.
• How interaction of employee types affects team or project processes, and how to balance teams to maximize success.
• I have been aware of types of personalities and how to match them with types of work.  What was valuable was seeing how this awareness of type and balance affected others attending the workshop by freeing up their ability to focus on their strengths and contributions, and release what wasn’t their issue.  I had important members of my organization present, and after seeing this benefit will organize sending other staff. 

Consultations with Patricia O’Reilly have proved immediately positive and I look forward to consulting her expertise in regard to the specifics of my business.  This work meshes well with existing positive practices and identifies gaps in those positive practices.

As the first day started, there was immediate ‘buy in’ from the participants and the energy level grew and was maintained throughout the entire seminar.
The presentation was well developed and the tools allowed each participant to visualize each step and make it their own.

Normally when I attend classes, I take notes constantly. At this workshop, I did things completely different and took none. I felt that I would just pick up what I needed to pick up at this class and use the pieces that were best suitable for me. I just knew there would be too much information to pick it all up and I would just absorb the pieces I would need. It also really helped when I heard there would be a book coming out and I figured when I was ready for more information, I could read Patricia's Book.

I was not sure what to expect at the workshop. I had heard Patricia speak at a breakfast meeting many months earlier and was interested in the information she presented. I went totally unprepared for whatever was going to happen, other than keeping a somewhat open mind that I would learn more about myself and probably acquire some things I could use in life. I was strongly impacted by the work we did and had a major break through with the assistance of Patricia. I strongly recommend everyone take this workshop and learn how people are different and need to be communicated with and interacted with according to their own innate process.
